Meet Mrs. ledbetter
I am thrilled to work with your family for the 2020-2021 school year. It's an honor to spend my 13th year as a teacher with your family. I have spent the past 12 years teaching fourth and fifth grades here in FMSD and am excited to begin the new adventure of working as Literacy and Math Interventionist this year.
Not only am I a teacher but I'm also a life-long learner. I am a two-time Winthrop graduate (B.S. Elementary Education '08 and M.Ed. Math Curriculum and Instruction '11). I also recently graduated from the University of South Carolina with a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a National Board Certified teacher in the area of Early and Middle Childhood Literacy - Reading and Language Arts. I am also GT endorsed through Converse College. Teaching is truly my passion and calling. My dedication to the teaching profession and the growth of all learners has provided me additional opportunities to pursue my passion for the field. I have served as a mentor teacher and was the Partnership Network Liaison for years while at RVES. I have also worked as an adjunct instructor at Winthrop University in the summers and enjoy presenting at conferences and leading training and professional development for other teachers. I can't imagine spending my days doing anything else. In my free time, I love to shop, cook/bake, read, travel (especially to the beach!), craft, cheer on the Gamecocks, go to concerts, and spend time with my husband, family, friends, and Copper, our three year old miniature dachshund. I look forward to partnering with your families this year to create a community of learners and leaders! |
