RVES Partnership
Did you know that RVES is part of the Winthrop University Partnership Network? What does that mean for our students, teachers, administration, and you as parents? Check out the video to learn more about how this partnership benefits our school.
wHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR CLASSROOM?
Our classroom directly benefits from our partnership with Winthrop University. Ms. Jolly is the RVES liaison to the Winthrop Partnership Advisory Council and also is a mentor teacher. Each year, she mentors Winthrop interns from various stages in their work towards teacher candidacy. These junior faculty members bring enthusiasm and the newest on what's best practice to our classroom, teaching both students and teachers. This year, our class will benefit from a year long intern who will get to spend the entire year working alongside Ms. Jolly to grow as a teacher, but to also assist in growing our students. This means that there will be even more opportunities for small group and personalized learning experiences for every child.
In addition, through our partnership with Winthrop, RVES faculty get the benefit of additional opportunities to grow through professional development and networking that invigorate their practice and inform their instruction. We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with such a phenomenal university.
